Venetian Gondola

The gondola is a traditional flat bottomed Venetian rowing boat.It is similar to a canoe,
except it is narrower. It is propelled by a gondolier who uses a rowing oar.For centuries the
gondola was a major means of transportation and the most common watercraft within
Venice. While in previous centuries gondolas could be many different colours, a law of
Venice required that gondolas should be painted black.Whenever someone says Venice,
we would think of the gondolas.

Rocket Mail

Rocket mail is the delivery of mail by rocket or missile. The rocket lands by deploying an internal parachute upon arrival. It has been attempted a few times with varying levels of success.
In 1959 the US Navy submarine USS Barbero assisted the Post Office Department with the only
delivery of missile mail.On 8 June 1959, Barbero fired a Regulus missile targeted at Naval Station Mayport, Florida.Though successful, rocket mail failed due to costs and numerous failures.

The Zeppelin Train

The Schienenzeppelin or rail zeppelin was an experimental railcar which resembled a zeppelin in appearance. The Schienenzeppelin was designed by Franz Kruckenberg in 1929.Propulsion was provided by a pusher propeller located at the rear.It accelerated the railcar to 230.2km/h setting the
land speed record for a petrol powered rail vehicle.Only a single example was ever built due to safety concerns. The Schienenzeppelin could carry around 40 passengers. It was built out of aluminium to
reduce weight.Sadly, it was scrapped in 1939 to provide materials for the german army.
